The Mentoring Partnership
of Central Pennsylvania (MPCP) is a collaborative network of forty-five (45) youth mentoring organizations serving at-risk youth in local communities across Central Pennsylvania. Developed in 2007, the Mentoring Partnership serves as a collaborative forum for mentoring organizations to expand knowledge, share problem solving techniques, and to recognize the challenges and successes of providing quality mentoring relationships. We are committed to promoting nationally recognized standards and best practices. Through collaboration and shared expertise, we are able to address both organizational and programmatic needs. Our work has a multiplier effect; enhancing not one agency, but many; and affecting the lives of hundreds of mid-state children each year.
Our Mission
The Mentoring Partnership of Central Pennsylvania expands community capacity to support quality mentoring relationships for youth.
Our Vision
We are committed to ensuring that every child who has both a need and a desire to be mentored will be paired with an adult who is willing and equipped to do so.
Our Strategy
We are accomplishing this vision through objectives that are simple, yet critical: raise public awareness of the needs and benefits of mentoring, recruit caring adults and efficiently connect them to mentoring programs, train and support these volunteers to be influential and effective mentors, and provide technical assistance to local mentoring programs.
